How to Make Andesite Decorative Variants (Bricks, Tiles, Pillars)
Chiseling Andesite
Andesite is one of the most versatile base blocks in Chisel Modern. Place a block of andesite, hold your chisel, and right-click it to open the variant picker. You will see dozens of options: Solid Bricks, Small Bricks, Cracked Bricks, Tiles Large/Medium/Small, Pillar, Panel, Road, French 1 and 2, Mosaic, Ornate, and more.
Building a Cohesive Palette
- Bricks family: Solid Bricks, Small Bricks, Cracked Bricks, and Triple Bricks stack well for walls.
- Tiles family: Tiles Large, Medium, and Small let you create gradient floors.
- Pillar and Panel: Use Pillar for vertical accents and Panel for flat wall cladding.
- Road and Layers: Great for paths and terraced builds.
Batch Conversion
Use the Chisel Table to convert a full stack at once. Put andesite in the input, select your variant, and pull the output. Repeat for each variant you need. This avoids placing and breaking blocks repeatedly.
Mixing Variants
Combine Cracked, Solid, and Small Bricks in the same wall for a weathered look. Alternate Tiles Large and Tiles Small on floors to suggest wear. Because all variants share andesite's properties, you can swap them freely without affecting redstone or mob spawning rules.
