How to Chisel Blocks in Bulk with the Chisel Table
Why Use the Chisel Table
Placing and rechiseling blocks one by one is slow. The Chisel Table lets you convert entire stacks in a single GUI session, which is essential for large builds.
Step-by-Step
1. Craft and place the Chisel Table.
2. Right-click to open its interface.
3. Put your source block (e.g. Andesite) in the input slot.
4. Browse the variant list on the right. Use the scroll bar or search field if available.
5. Click a variant to preview it, then confirm to move the converted block to the output.
6. Pull the output into your inventory and repeat.
Efficiency Tips
- Keep a chest of base blocks next to the table so you can refill quickly.
- Convert in stacks, not singles. The table processes the whole input stack per operation.
- If you need multiple variants, convert one stack at a time and store each in a labeled chest.
- The chisel tool itself can also convert placed blocks, but the table is faster for bulk work.
Common Mistakes
- Forgetting that the table needs the correct base block — you cannot convert dirt into andesite variants.
- Assuming all variants are reversible. Some cracked or chaotic variants may not convert back to the base block, so keep a supply of the original.
