Improve Your Vision While Blocking in Combat

Understand the Shield Lowering Feature

This resource pack repositions the shield model lower and smaller on your screen when you raise it to block. This means less of your view is obstructed by the shield itself.

Hold Your Shield to Block

1. Equip a shield in your off-hand slot

2. Hold right-click to raise the shield and block incoming damage

3. Notice the shield appears lower on your screen compared to vanilla Minecraft

Benefit from Better Visibility

With the shield positioned lower, you can see more of the environment in front of you while blocking. This helps you:

• Track enemy movements more easily
• See incoming projectiles better
• Navigate terrain without the shield covering your crosshair
• Maintain awareness of your surroundings during defensive play

Continue Fighting

While blocking, you can still attack with your main hand weapon. The improved visibility makes it easier to time your strikes and react to threats without lowering your shield.
