Craft Your First Firearm

Gather Basic Materials

Start by collecting basic resources you'll need for early-tier weapons. You'll primarily need common metals (like iron) and gunpowder. Hunt creepers at night or find gunpowder in loot chests to stock up quickly.

Use the Recipe Book

Place down a standard crafting table and open it. Press the recipe book button (usually on the right side of the crafting interface). Search for "Pistol" or "Tier 1" to see all beginner-friendly firearm recipes.

Assemble Your Weapon

Once you've located a recipe you can craft, gather the exact ingredients shown and arrange them in the crafting grid. The recipe book will highlight the correct pattern. Craft the firearm and it will appear in your inventory.

Equip and Test

Place the gun in your main hand slot. Hold right-click (or your mod's fire button) to aim and shoot at hostile mobs. Your first firearm is ready for defense. As you progress, you can craft ammunition separately to keep your weapon supplied.
