How to craft a compass with one iron ingot and three nuggets

With the mod installed, the compass costs far less iron than in vanilla. Instead of four iron ingots, the recipe uses one iron ingot and three iron nuggets.

What you need

• 1 iron ingot
• 3 iron nuggets
• The other ingredient from the vanilla compass recipe (redstone dust). The mod only changes the iron part.

Steps

1. Open a crafting table.

2. Place the ingot and the three nuggets in the slots where the vanilla recipe puts its iron ingots, with the redstone dust in its usual spot.

3. Take the compass from the result slot.

Can't get the layout to work?

The quickest way to see the exact arrangement is your recipe book. Craft or collect the ingredients, open the recipe book in the crafting table, and click the compass entry. It will fill the grid for you. If you use a recipe viewer mod such as JEI or REI, look up the compass there to see the same layout.
