Bookmarking, Searching, and Jumping to Old Chat Messages

Finding a message

Chat Plus stores far more chat history than vanilla, so you can scroll back much further. Use the find or search function in the chat interface and type a keyword, player name, or phrase. Matching lines are highlighted so you can scan the backlog quickly instead of scrolling manually.

Bookmarking lines

When you find something worth keeping, bookmark it. You can bookmark manually on a single line, or let the mod auto-bookmark based on rules you set, such as messages containing your name. Bookmarks are saved separately from the scrollback, so they survive even after old messages fall out of the normal history.

Jumping between bookmarks

Use the jump controls to cycle through your bookmarks and snap the chat view straight to each one. This is useful for returning to coordinates someone shared, a trade offer, or a death location. If you selected several messages at once, you can bookmark the whole group in one action, then jump between the group and individual entries as needed.
