Chat Plus Mod FAQ

Open your chat and look for the Chat Plus config button, or bind the settings key in your controls menu. From there you can access every customization option, including tabs, appearance, and message handling.

Chat Plus can create tabs automatically based on chat type, or you can make them manually in the tab settings. Once tabs exist, you can rename them, assign filters, and switch between them with clicks or hotkeys.

Enter chat editing mode from the Chat Plus settings, then drag the edges or corners of the chat box to resize it. You can also move it by dragging the box itself while in that mode.

Hover over a message and use the bookmark action, or select multiple messages and bookmark them in bulk. Bookmarks are saved with jump support so you can return to the exact message later.

Use the search function in the chat interface to find messages by text. Results let you jump directly to the matching message in your chat history.

Select the messages you want, then use the screenshot action from the bulk selection menu. Chat Plus can capture the selected chat or messages and optionally upload them to Imgur.

Tabs set to manual creation are not recreated automatically, so you may need to save your tab layout or enable auto tab creation. Check your tab settings to confirm whether tabs are set to auto or manual.

Yes, Chat Plus lets you customize background color, opacity, padding, and spacing in the appearance settings. You can also adjust message alignment and text direction.

Chat Plus modifies the vanilla chat system, so it may conflict with other mods that heavily change chat rendering or input. If you see broken chat behavior, try disabling overlapping chat mods to isolate the conflict.

Chat Plus increases stored messages and adds features like search and tabs, which can use more memory as history grows. If you notice lag, reduce stored message limits or disable features you do not use.
