Set Up Companions to Gather Resources Automatically

Assign Tasks Through the Radial Menu

With a bonded companion, open the radial menu and navigate to mob functions or task assignment. Select gathering, fishing, mining, or supply collection depending on your companion's type and capabilities. Provisioner-type creatures excel at gathering nearby supplies and bringing them to outposts, while water-dwelling companions can fish or collect underwater treasure.

Equip Your Companion

Give your companion items and armor through the radial menu or by dropping them nearby. Bonded creatures can wear armor and wield melee weapons, making them more effective at resource defense and combat support. Ensure they have appropriate tools for their assigned task—fishing rods for fishing companions, for example.

Monitor Progress

Your companion will work in the background while you explore or build. Check in periodically using the radial menu to see their status and collected items. Companions can carry multiple items and will return to designated outposts or follow you if called. This frees you to focus on other tasks while your friend handles resource gathering.
