How do I start bonding with a latex creature?
Approach a mob slowly and use bare-handed pats or offer food to calm it down instead of fighting. Once it's peaceful, open the radial menu to talk and check your relationship status—repeat interactions to build friendship over time.
What's the difference between talking my way out of a transformation and reversing one?
Talking your way out happens during the transformation process by selecting dialogue options carefully to negotiate your release. Reversing an active transformation requires sleeping in a bed, which will merge you with your carrier unless you've disabled the Transfur After Sleep setting.
How do I stop mobs from hypnotizing me?
When a mob tries to hypnotize you, look away from their gaze to fill your resistance bar—the longer you avoid eye contact, the more resistant you become. This replaces the old button-mashing system.
Can I make my companion do specific tasks like fishing or mining?
Yes, once bonded, you can give your companion items and direct them to perform tasks like fishing, gathering supplies, or mining through the radial menu. They'll continue working until you call them back or they complete the task.
What happens if I'm on Peaceful difficulty?
Named and bonded creatures remain active and friendly on Peaceful difficulty, so you can still interact with companions and build relationships without aggressive mobs spawning.
How do factions and reputation work?
Different regional factions control territories and have rivalries with each other. Use `/changedsynergy reputation` to check your standing with each faction, which affects whether they pursue you or trade with you.
Will hostile factions attack me if my reputation is low?
If Faction Pursuit Squads is enabled in your config, hostile factions will send attack groups after you when your reputation is low. You can disable this feature if you prefer a less aggressive experience.
Can my companions wear armor and carry weapons?
Yes, close friends and companions can equip armor and wield melee weapons through the radial menu, making them more effective at defending outposts or fighting alongside you.
Is this mod causing server lag or tick issues?
The AI Scheduling config option lets you adjust how often mobs perform background tasks—lowering this value reduces server load if you're experiencing performance problems.
What should I do if I get stuck in a takeover or transformation?
Use `/untf` to force a release from a creature takeover or `/untransfur` to force a release from an active transfur state. These commands are available if you need an emergency escape.
