During Hypnosis: Use the Gaze Mechanic

When a creature attempts to mesmerize you, a resistance bar will appear. Look away from the creature's gaze to fill this bar—the longer you avoid eye contact, the more resistance builds. If you successfully fill the bar before the hypnosis completes, you'll break free without transformation. This replaces old button-mashing prompts, so awareness and timing are key.

If Already Transformed: Negotiate or Use Commands

If absorption occurs and the creature takes temporary control, open dialogue options carefully. Select responses that appeal to the creature's personality or offer negotiation to secure your release. If dialogue fails, use the command /untf to force an immediate release from creature takeover, or /untransfur to exit an active transfur state.

Prevent Recurrence

Check your mod config for "Transfur After Sleep"—if enabled, sleeping while carried by a creature may merge you with them. Disable this setting if unwanted transformations frustrate your playstyle. Build bonds with creatures instead; friends won't transform you involuntarily.
