How to Configure Champion Spawn Rates and Tiers

Finding the Config File

Champions Unofficial generates a config file in your config folder after first launch. Open it with any text editor. You'll see sections for spawn chances, tier weights, and per-dimension overrides. Back up the file before editing so you can revert if a value breaks spawning.

Tuning Spawn Frequency

Look for the global spawn chance value. Raising it makes more mobs roll as Champions; lowering it makes them rare. If you want Champions only in specific dimensions, use the dimension-specific entries rather than the global one. Tier weights control how often Rare, Epic, or Legendary Champions appear relative to each other — increasing a tier's weight makes it more common. Keep the sum of weights in mind; the mod normalizes them, but extreme values can skew results.

Adjusting Stats and Affixes

Separate sections handle health, damage, and armor scaling formulas, plus which affixes are allowed. If a specific affix (like Reflective or Jailer) is ruining your experience, you can blacklist it or reduce its weight. After saving, restart the game or run the reload command if the mod supports one. Test in a fresh world or with a spawner to confirm your changes before committing to a survival run.
