Chakram Data Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I craft a chakram?
Chakrams are crafted using echo shards and breeze rods. Check the Craft Your First Chakram guide for the exact recipe layout and required materials.
What happens when a chakram hits a block?
The chakram ricochets off the block and bounces back toward you, gaining damage with each ricochet. It will eventually return to your hand if it reaches maximum distance without hitting an entity.
Does the chakram come back to me?
Yes—if you hit an entity or throw it far enough to reach maximum distance, the chakram automatically flies back into your hand. This makes it a reusable weapon that doesn't get lost.
Can I use regular enchantments like Sharpness on a chakram?
Yes, chakrams work with vanilla enchantments including Sharpness, Smite, Bane of Arthropods, Fire Aspect, Unbreaking, and Mending. However, the Ricochet enchantment is incompatible with other damage enchantments.
What's the difference between Bouncing and Phasing enchantments?
Bouncing makes the chakram ricochet to the next nearest enemy on hit without passing through them, while Phasing lets it pass through and damage multiple entities in a line. These two enchantments cannot be used together.
Where do I find chakram-exclusive enchantments?
Chakram-exclusive enchantments like Lightweight, Bouncing, Phasing, Harvesting, and Ricochet can be found in ancient city chests as loot.
How do I farm crops without the chakram ricocheting?
Use the Harvesting enchantment on your chakram—it allows you to break crops, grass, and flowers without triggering ricochets. See the Farm Crops Efficiently Without Ricochets guide for strategy tips.
What does the Lightweight enchantment do?
Lightweight increases your chakram's throwing range by 5 blocks per level, up to a maximum of 3 levels, letting you hit targets from much farther away.
Can I use Bouncing and Phasing at the same time?
No, Bouncing and Phasing are incompatible enchantments and cannot be applied to the same chakram.
How do I maximize damage with the chakram?
Combine the Ricochet enchantment with block ricochets to gain stacking damage per bounce, or use the Bouncing enchantment to hit multiple enemies in succession. Check the Maximize Damage with Ricochet Bounces guide for detailed tactics.
