Available Wood Types

Centurion Ships includes custom models for multiple wood varieties. Each wood type produces a ship with a distinct appearance:

• Oak — Classic light wood with white or cream-colored sails
• Spruce — Darker wood, often paired with muted sail colors
• Birch — Pale wood with bright sail designs
• Mangrove — Unique reddish-brown hull with decorative details like hanging anchors

Crafting Your Ship

1. Gather planks from your chosen wood type

2. Craft a boat using 5 planks and 1 stick in the standard boat recipe

3. Place the boat in water

4. The ship will render with the hull color and sail style matching your wood choice

Visual Customization

While the resource pack determines sail patterns and hull details automatically, you can enhance your ship's appearance by adding decorative blocks on the deck—barrels, maps, lanterns, and other nautical details work well. These sit on top of the ship model and create a lived-in feel.
