How to Make Cave Spiders Spawn Naturally in Your World

What the Mod Changes

In vanilla Minecraft, cave spiders only appear from dungeon spawners. This mod removes that restriction and lets them spawn naturally in underground caves, so you will start running into them while mining or exploring. No setup is required for the basic behavior — once the mod is installed, cave spiders can spawn in caves the same way regular spiders do, just with a chance of replacing a spider spawn.

Verifying It Works

1. Load an existing world or create a new one.

2. Dig down or find a natural cave system away from light sources.

3. Spend some time in the dark areas — cave spiders spawn under the same general conditions as other hostile mobs (low light, valid floor space).

4. If you want faster confirmation, use a command to change the time to night or clear out a large dark cavern so more spawn attempts happen.

Things to Keep in Mind

Because cave spiders are smaller than regular spiders, they fit through one-block gaps and can reach you in tight tunnels. Bring milk buckets or a way to cure poison before you go caving. If you are not seeing any, check that the area is actually dark enough and that you have not accidentally disabled natural spawning through other mods or game rules.
