How to Limit Cave Spider Spawns Below a Certain Y Level
Why Restrict the Depth
By default the mod lets cave spiders spawn anywhere underground. If you want them to feel like a deep-cave threat instead of a constant nuisance near the surface, you can restrict their spawns to below a chosen Y level. This is off by default, so you need to turn it on yourself.
Editing the Config
1. Locate the mod's config file in your Minecraft config folder.
2. Open it with a plain text editor.
3. Find the option that controls the Y-level restriction for cave spider spawns.
4. Enable that option and set the Y value to the depth you want. For example, setting it to the level where deepslate begins keeps cave spiders in the deep underground.
5. Save the file and restart the game so the change loads.
Testing the Result
After restarting, go to a cave above your chosen Y level and confirm no cave spiders appear there, then descend below it and check that they do spawn. Remember that other mods or datapacks affecting mob spawning can override or conflict with this setting, so test in a clean area if results look wrong.
