Troubleshoot Boss Behavior in Modded Terrain

Common Issues

If a Cataclysm boss isn't destroying blocks from other mods, or weapons aren't sticking to creatures, the compatibility pack may not be fully active.

Diagnostic Steps

1. Verify the pack is loaded. Check your world's data pack list in settings. The Cataclysm Compat pack should appear and be enabled (green checkmark).

2. Test with vanilla blocks first. Fight a boss in an area with only vanilla Minecraft blocks. If it destroys those normally, the mod itself works—the issue is mod-specific.

3. Check mod versions. Ensure Cataclysm and your other add-ons (Twigs, Habitat, Alex's Mobs, etc.) are compatible versions. Mismatched versions can break compatibility.

4. Reload your world. Exit to menu and re-enter. Sometimes data packs need a fresh load to apply changes.

5. Test weapons on different mobs. Try sticky weapons on vanilla mobs, then modded creatures. This narrows down whether the issue is mod-specific.

6. Report specifics. If problems persist, note which mod's blocks/creatures aren't working and share your mod list for support.
