How to Toggle Night Vision On and Off in Cat Eyes Mod

Using the Default Keybind

Once the mod is installed, night vision is controlled entirely by a single key press. By default this is the V key. Press it once and your screen brightens as if you drank a Night Vision potion; press it again to return to normal lighting. There is no cooldown, no potion timer, and no command to type. The effect stays active until you toggle it off, so you can leave it running while you mine, build, or fight.

Checking That It Worked

If pressing the key seems to do nothing, look at your brightness first. The mod brightens dark areas rather than washing the whole screen, so in a well-lit base the change can be subtle. Step into an unlit cave or cover yourself with blocks and toggle again to confirm. You should also see the effect persist through dimension changes and respawns, since it is a client-side toggle rather than a potion buff.

Turning It Off Quickly

When you want normal lighting back, such as for screenshots or to avoid suspicion on a server, just tap the same key. Because the toggle is instant, you can flick it on for a single dark corridor and off again the moment you reach a lit area. No inventory space is used and nothing is consumed.
