Changing the Cat Eyes Night Vision Toggle Key
Opening the Controls Menu
If V conflicts with another mod or your own muscle memory, you can rebind it. From the pause menu, open Options, then Controls, then Key Binds. Scroll until you find the Cat Eyes entry, which is listed under its own category heading rather than mixed in with vanilla movement keys. Click the button showing the current key and press the key you want to use instead.
Choosing a Good Key
Pick something you can reach without leaving WASD. Keys like G, B, or C are common choices because they are rarely bound by other mods. Avoid keys already used for inventory, drop, or sprint, since a conflict will stop one of the two actions from firing. If you play with a mouse that has side buttons, binding the toggle there works well because you can flip night vision mid-fight without moving your hand.
Resetting or Clearing the Bind
To remove the bind entirely, click the key button and press Escape; the entry will show as unbound and the mod will no longer toggle. To restore the default, use the Reset Keys or per-entry reset option in the same screen. If you later add another mod that grabs your chosen key, come back here and reassign it rather than editing config files.
