Planning Your Route

Before painting, mentally trace the path you want to mark—whether it's a nether highway, overworld road, or rail line. You can paint across multiple chunks in a line.

Drawing the Route

1. Open your map and access the Zone Painter

2. Select Chunk mode to paint by chunks

3. Click each chunk along your intended route to paint them sequentially

4. Choose a distinctive color (yellow or orange works well for roads)

5. Name the zone with a descriptive title like "Nether Highway" or "Trade Route to Village"

Refining Your Route

If you painted a chunk by mistake, simply click it again to remove it from the zone. You can extend the route later by adding more chunks. The painted route will display on both your minimap and world map, making navigation straightforward and helping you avoid getting lost on long journeys.

Each dimension stores routes separately, so your nether routes won't clutter your overworld map.
