How to throw a carried chest or block with Shift + Q

Carry On Extend lets you toss a block you are carrying instead of setting it down carefully. This is handy for moving chests or other blocks a short way.

Steps

1. Make sure both hands are empty. Carry On needs free hands to lift something.

2. Sneak (hold Shift) and right-click the block you want to pick up, such as a chest. You will see it held in front of you.

3. Face the direction you want to throw it. The block is thrown away from you, so aim before you press the keys.

4. Press Shift + Q together. The block leaves your hands and lands a short distance away.

Tips

  • The throw is short. Treat it as a toss, not a launcher, and stand fairly close to where you want the block to end up.
  • Check the landing spot first. Dropping a block into water, lava or a pit may not give you the result you want.
  • If you want to set the block down precisely, use Carry On's normal placing instead of throwing. Throwing is for speed, placing is for accuracy.
  • Some blocks cannot be picked up at all, because Carry On's own settings control what is allowed. If you cannot lift a block, you cannot throw it either.
