How to track thrown Ender Pearls with /log Pearls

Carpet Extra Extras can report on Ender Pearls as they are thrown. This is handy for debugging pearl stasis chambers, pearl cannons and trapdoor setups.

Enable the rule

1. Make sure you have permission to use Carpet commands (cheats on, or operator status on a server).

2. Run /carpet trackEnderPearls true.

3. To keep the setting across restarts, use /carpet setDefault trackEnderPearls true instead.

Subscribe to the log

1. Run /log Pearls to subscribe to the Pearls logger. Carpet logger subscriptions are per player, so each player who wants the output has to run it.

2. Throw a pearl. Information about the tracked pearl is shown to you through the logger.

3. Run /log Pearls again to unsubscribe, or use /log with no arguments to see your current subscriptions.

Tips

  • If nothing appears, check with /carpet trackEnderPearls that the rule is actually true.
  • The /log command supports options for where the output is displayed. Tab-complete after /log Pearls to see what is available.
  • Test pearl machines in a creative world first, so you can compare your own throws against what the log reports.
