How to Receive an Item Someone Is Holding Out

Approach the Player

Walk up to the player who is holding out an item. You'll see them in a pose with an item visibly extended toward you.

Right-Click on the Item

Aim your crosshair at the item they're holding and right-click. This is the same action as opening a chest or interacting with a block. The item will immediately transfer to your inventory.

Check Your Inventory

The item should now appear in your inventory. If your inventory is full, the item may drop on the ground instead—make sure you have space before accepting.

Complete the Trade

Once you've received the item, the other player's hand will return to normal. The trade is complete. This method is much more personal and respectful than picking items up off the ground, making multiplayer trading feel more intentional and fair.
