How to Hold Out an Item for Another Player

Prepare Your Item

First, make sure the item you want to share is in your main hand (your right hand by default). You cannot hold out items from your offhand or inventory.

Activate the Hold Out Keybind

Press the configured keybind to hold out the item. By default, this is often a key like H, but check your mod settings to confirm which key is bound to this action. When pressed, your character will visibly hold the item out in front of them in a sharing pose.

Once you're holding out the item, stay still and let the other player approach. They will see your character holding the item and can interact with it. You remain in control—the item stays in your hand until they pick it up.

Complete the Transfer

The other player simply right-clicks on the held-out item to receive it. The item will transfer to their inventory, and your hand will return to normal. This creates a respectful, hand-to-hand trade experience instead of dropping items on the ground.
