Use Your Own Cape Texture File
Prepare Your Cape File
Create or obtain a PNG cape texture that is exactly 64×32 pixels in size. This matches Minecraft's standard cape format. Save it somewhere you can reference it easily.
Host or Reference the File
If your cape file is local to your computer, you'll need to either:
- Host it on a web server and use the URL method
- Use a local file path in your config (if the mod supports
file://URLs)
Add to Configuration
1. Open config/cape-provider.json5
2. Create a custom provider entry pointing to your cape file's location
3. Assign it to your UUID or username
4. Save and restart Minecraft
If using a file path, ensure the path is absolute and correctly formatted for your operating system. For maximum compatibility, hosting the cape online is recommended.
