Set Up a Cape from a URL
Prepare Your Cape Image
First, ensure you have a PNG cape image hosted at a publicly accessible URL. The image must match Minecraft's cape dimensions (64×32 pixels). Common hosting options include image services, personal servers, or mod-specific cape databases.
Add the Cape to Your Config
1. Navigate to your game folder and open config/cape-provider.json5
2. Locate the custom providers section (or create one if it doesn't exist)
3. Add a new provider entry with your cape URL and link it to your UUID or username:
`
"my_custom_cape": {
"url": "https://example.com/my-cape.png",
"uuid": "your-uuid-here"
}
`
Or use your username instead of UUID if the provider supports it.
4. Save the file
5. Restart Minecraft completely
Your cape should now appear in-game. If it doesn't show, verify the URL is accessible, the image dimensions are correct, and you've used the right UUID or username format for your account.
