Use Freelook to Glance Around While Moving or Building

Activate Freelook

Freelook lets you rotate your camera view independently of your character's facing direction. This means you can look behind, above, or to the side while continuing to move forward or build.

1. Open your mod keybinds and find the Freelook toggle

2. Press it to enable freelook mode

3. Your camera will now move freely with your mouse

4. Your character's body and direction remain unchanged

5. Move with WASD normally—your character walks in their original direction

6. Press the toggle again to disable and return to normal camera control

Practical Uses

Freelook is excellent for:

  • Building while viewing your work from different angles
  • Walking forward while checking behind for mobs
  • Navigating tight spaces while seeing obstacles around you
  • Exploring while keeping your character's facing direction stable
  • Multiplayer situations where you want to see teammates without turning

Combine Features

Pair freelook with zoom to inspect details while moving, or use it with freecam disabled for a more grounded exploration experience.
