Camera Tweaks Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I turn on Freecam?
Open your mod keybinds menu and find the Freecam toggle (check your mod settings for the default key). Press it to detach your camera from your character—your view will fly freely while your character stays in place.
Can I move my character while using Freelook?
Yes, that's the whole point of Freelook. You can walk, run, or build normally while your camera glances around independently, then snaps back when you stop looking.
Does Fullbright work in the Nether and End?
Fullbright brightens your view globally, so it works in all dimensions including the Nether and End, making dark areas much easier to navigate.
How do I zoom in to see far away?
Bind the Zoom key in your mod settings, then hold or toggle it to magnify your view. You can adjust how far you zoom in through the mod's configuration options.
Will Freecam let me see through walls?
No, Freecam only detaches your camera from your character—you still can't see through solid blocks, but you can position your view in tight spaces or around obstacles.
Can I use Custom Third Person with other camera mods?
Camera Tweaks Mod's third-person features should work alongside most mods, but conflicts can occur if another mod also modifies camera angles; test both together to be sure.
Does No Fog affect my performance?
No Fog typically improves performance slightly since your client renders fewer fog particles, though the impact is usually minimal on modern systems.
How do I adjust the third-person camera distance?
Look in the mod's configuration file or in-game settings menu for third-person distance or offset values, where you can customize how far the camera sits from your character.
Can I bind multiple keys to the same feature?
This depends on your mod loader's keybind system; check your mod settings to see if you can assign alternate keys to Freecam, Zoom, or other toggles.
Does Fullbright work with shaders?
Fullbright may conflict with some shader packs since both modify lighting; if you use shaders, test Fullbright first or disable shaders temporarily to see if they're incompatible.
