Tone Down Explosion Shake and Idle Sway
Two effects in Camera Overhaul have nothing to do with your walking. These are the screen shake from a nearby creeper or TNT blast, and the gentle sway that begins after you stand still for a few seconds. Each can be adjusted separately.
Adjust Explosion Shake
1. Open the mod's settings menu.
2. Find the explosion or shake setting.
3. Lower the value for a weaker shake, or set it to zero to remove it.
4. Test safely in a creative world by placing TNT and igniting it from a distance, then closer.
If you build with TNT cannons or run redstone-based mining, reducing the shake helps a lot, because your screen won't jump with every blast.
Adjust Idle Sway
1. In the same menu, find the idle or standing-still effect.
2. Lower it if the slow drifting bothers you while reading signs, planning builds or placing blocks precisely.
3. Set it to zero if you want a perfectly steady view when stationary.
4. Stand still for a few seconds in-game to confirm the change.
Editing the File Directly
The same options exist in .minecraft/config/cameraoverhaul.toml. Close the game before editing, save the file, then relaunch so the new values load. Keep a copy of the original file in case you want to restore it.
