Reset or Hand-Edit Camera Overhaul Settings in the Config File
When the in-game menu is unavailable or you want to share your setup, you can work with the config file directly.
Edit the File
1. Close Minecraft completely.
2. Open your .minecraft folder and go into config.
3. Open cameraoverhaul.toml in a plain text editor.
4. Change the numbers next to the effect names. Higher values make an effect stronger, lower values weaken it, zero disables it, and negative values reverse its direction.
5. Save the file and launch the game. Use a test world to check the result.
Keep the file's formatting as it is. Change only the values, not the names or punctuation, or the mod may fail to read the file.
Back Up and Reset
- Backup: Before experimenting, copy
cameraoverhaul.tomlsomewhere else. You can paste it back to restore your preferred feel. - Reset to defaults: Close the game, delete
cameraoverhaul.tomlfrom the config folder, and start Minecraft. The mod normally writes a fresh file with its default values. - Sharing a setup: Send the file to a friend, who can drop it into their own
configfolder, replacing the existing one while the game is closed.
If your changes seem to have no effect, make sure you edited the file while the game was closed. The game can overwrite changes made while it is running.
