Use Layer View to Build Large Projects
Isolating Height Levels
For massive structures, enable layer view to see only one height slice at a time. This breaks your project into manageable horizontal sections.
Building One Layer
The ghost projection will show only the blocks at your current height level. All other layers fade away, giving you a clear view of exactly what needs to be placed. This prevents confusion and helps you focus on one complete horizontal section before moving up.
Navigating Between Layers
Use the layer controls to move up or down through your structure. The material list updates to show only blocks needed for the active layer, so you know exactly what to gather before starting.
When to Use Layer View
This approach works best for:
- Tall towers or buildings
- Complex multi-story structures
- Projects where you need to work from the ground up
- Situations where seeing all layers at once is visually overwhelming
Combine layer view with easy place mode for the fastest manual building experience.
