Build Print Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I load a schematic file into my world?
Press M to open the blueprint manager, then browse your local files or the online marketplace tab to select a schematic. Once loaded, the ghost projection will appear in your world ready to position.
What file formats does Build Print Mod support?
The mod opens .litematic, .schem, .schematic, .nbt, and Axiom .bp files. You can also create and save custom blueprints using the free-camera editor.
How do I use the easy place tool?
Turn on easy place mode, then hold right-click over the ghost blocks to automatically place matching blocks from your inventory with correct rotation. The mod will pull the right block type and angle it properly for you.
Can I build only part of a blueprint?
Yes, use the layer view to isolate and build specific height levels one at a time, which is especially helpful for large projects. You can also use the selection tool (press B) to define a custom area, rotate or resize it, and save it as a new blueprint.
What do the different colored block overlays mean?
The color coding shows missing blocks (blocks you still need to place), misplaced blocks (wrong block type), rotated blocks (wrong angle), and extra blocks (blocks in the way). This helps you quickly spot what needs fixing.
How do I swap one material for another across the entire blueprint?
Use the material swap tool to replace specific block types throughout the ghost structure without editing the original file. This is useful for changing wood types, stone variants, or other materials across a large build.
Can I use this mod in multiplayer?
Yes, Build Print Mod includes multiplayer sync sessions that let team members share the same blueprint and track construction progress together without requiring server plugins.
Does the automated printer mode work in Survival mode?
The printer places blocks layer by layer within normal player reach, so it works in Survival as long as you have the required blocks in your inventory. Creative mode paste is instant with full undo functionality, but Survival mode respects normal building constraints.
How do I see what blocks I need before I start building?
The active material list tracks all required blocks and updates in real-time as you place them, so you always know what you're missing and how many of each block you need.
Can I fill chests and hoppers with items from my inventory?
Yes, the mod displays ghost contents inside chests, hoppers, and barrels, and includes a button to automatically fill them from your inventory based on the blueprint's item configuration.
