Set Up a Match with Custom Build Themes

Choosing Your Theme

Before starting a match, decide what theme all players will build around. This could be a biome (desert, forest, underwater), a structure type (castle, bridge, house), or an abstract concept (chaos, minimalism, steampunk). Communicate the theme to all players before the building phase begins.

Starting the Match

1. Gather your players in the lobby area

2. Ensure all players are ready and understand the theme

3. Activate the match start—all players will be teleported to their individual building plots

4. The timer will begin counting down

5. Build your interpretation of the theme within your plot boundaries

Tips for Theme Rounds

Themes make voting more interesting because players can judge creativity within constraints rather than raw scale. Easier themes (like "red") work well for newer players, while complex themes (like "betrayal" or "forgotten") challenge experienced builders. Announce the theme clearly at the start so no one is confused during their building time.
