Bubblellaneous Data Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I get started with Bubblellaneous Data Pack?
Make sure the pack is enabled for your world (check with /datapack list). Then run /function menu:bubblellaneous to open the settings and debug menu. To get items in survival, use the Bubble Bench described below.
How do I open the settings menu?
Run /function menu:bubblellaneous in chat. It's the pack's central place for settings and debugging.
How do I craft Bubblellaneous items in survival? I don't know the recipes.
Use the Bubble Bench: drop a glass bottle onto a crafting table. This lets you obtain all the custom content without memorizing recipes.
How do I give myself a Bubblellaneous item with a command?
Run /function give:bubblellaneous/ , replacing with the item's name. Type the path after the slash and use tab-completion to see the available names.
What's the difference between give, spawn and place commands?
Give: puts the item in your inventory. spawn: spawns the item in the world. place: puts a block down directly, using /function place:bubblellaneous/ .
My /function command says unknown function. What am I doing wrong?
Check that the pack is enabled with /datapack list, and run /reload if you just added it. Also don't type the angle brackets from the examples; use only the real item or block name. The namespace comes before the colon (give, spawn, place or menu), and the path after it starts with bubblellaneous/.
Why can't I run the commands on my server or world?
Function commands need operator permissions, which means cheats on in singleplayer. Regular players on a server should use the Bubble Bench instead.
Are there different colors or materials for the furniture and items?
Yes, many blocks and items come in variants that differ in color and material. Each variant has its own name, so use tab-completion with the give, spawn or place commands to browse them.
Can I use Bubblellaneous for map making or my own creations?
Yes, the pack was reworked to suit survival, map making and creating your own content. The place and spawn functions let you put blocks and items into builds and maps without handing out items.
Does this need a mod loader, and will it work with other data packs?
It's a data pack, so you enable it as a data pack in your world rather than installing it as a mod. It can generally run alongside other data packs. If something behaves oddly, open the debug menu with /function menu:bubblellaneous and test with other packs disabled.
