How to Breed a Killer Bunny from Two Regular Rabbits

Gather Your Rabbits

Catch two regular rabbits (not the hostile Killer Bunny) using leads or by luring them with carrots. Bring them to a safe, enclosed area so they cannot wander off or be attacked while breeding. A small pen of fences works well.

Feed Them Carrots

Hold carrots in your hand and right-click each rabbit in turn. When both rabbits have been fed, heart particles should appear above them, signaling that a baby is on the way. If no hearts appear, one rabbit may already be on breeding cooldown, or you may have fed the same rabbit twice instead of one carrot to each.

After the hearts appear, a baby rabbit spawns shortly after. The baby is not guaranteed to be a Killer Bunny — the mod rolls a chance based on your config setting. If the baby comes out as a normal rabbit, you can repeat the process with the same parents once their cooldown ends.

Tips

  • Keep the parents well-fed and away from wolves, which will target them.
  • If you want a higher Killer Bunny rate, adjust the chance value in the config (see the config guide).
  • Baby rabbits cannot be bred until they mature, so plan for a small breeding stock.
