Bray’s Better Bow & Arrows Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Do I need a mod installed or is this just a resource pack?
This is a resource pack only—no mod installation needed. Drop it into your resource packs folder and enable it in your world settings.
Why can't I see my arrows loading on the bow?
Make sure the resource pack is enabled and ranked above any conflicting packs in your resource pack list. If you're using other bow or arrow texture packs, disable them or place this pack lower in priority.
Do the 3D arrows work with tipped arrows and spectral arrows?
Yes, the pack includes custom visuals for regular arrows, tipped arrows, and spectral arrows. Each type displays its own distinct 3D model when loaded.
What happens when I use Multishot on a crossbow?
The crossbow gets a unique sprite when loaded with Multishot, and rockets fired from it display the custom rocket model included in the pack.
Does the left-hand and right-hand aiming actually change how the bow looks?
Yes, the pack includes separate bow models for each hand so the bow and loaded arrow appear in the correct position whether you're left-handed or right-handed.
Will this work with other bow or arrow texture packs?
Conflicts can occur if multiple packs modify the same textures. Test by disabling other bow/arrow packs, or adjust the resource pack load order so this pack takes priority.
Do the custom arrow visuals work in first-person and third-person view?
The pack is designed primarily for first-person view where you see the bow load. Third-person visuals depend on your other resource packs and settings.
Can I see the arrows in flight or only when they're loaded?
The pack focuses on showing arrows loaded on the bow. Once fired, arrows use standard Minecraft visuals unless other packs modify projectile sprites.
Does this affect performance or cause lag?
Resource packs have minimal performance impact. If you experience issues, try disabling other texture-heavy packs or lowering your render distance.
Why do my arrows look wrong after updating Minecraft?
Resource packs sometimes need updates to match new Minecraft versions. Check if a newer version of the pack is available, or verify the pack is enabled in your current world.
