Troubleshooting an Infinity Bow That Will Not Fire

First Checks

If your Infinity bow still refuses to shoot with no arrows, work through these in order.

1. Verify the enchantment. Open your inventory and hover the bow. The tooltip must list Infinity. A bow without it behaves like any normal bow and needs real arrows.

2. Confirm the mod is loaded. Check that the correct build for your Minecraft version and mod loader (Fabric, Forge, or NeoForge) is present. A mismatched loader or version means the mod silently does nothing.

3. Check for conflicts. Other bow or enchantment mods can override Infinity behavior. Temporarily disabling them can reveal the culprit.

Crossbow-Specific Issues

  • On Minecraft versions before 1.20.5, Infinity on a crossbow is not supported by this mod. Use a bow instead, or update your game version.
  • Make sure the crossbow is actually charging when you hold right-click. If it will not charge at all, the enchantment may be missing.

When It Still Fails

  • Re-test in a fresh world with only this mod and its required dependencies enabled.
  • Remember the mod has no config file, so there is nothing to toggle — if it is loaded, it is active.

Once the enchantment and mod version line up, the bow fires with zero arrows as intended.
