How to Shoot an Infinity Bow With No Arrows in Your Inventory
The Problem This Mod Solves
In vanilla Minecraft, an Infinity-enchanted bow will not fire unless you are carrying at least one arrow somewhere in your inventory. That single arrow is consumed as a "catalyst" and never actually leaves your inventory, but it still occupies a slot. With this mod installed, that requirement is gone entirely.
Steps
1. Enchant a bow with Infinity (via an enchanting table, anvil, or by finding one in loot).
2. Make sure your inventory contains zero arrows — drop them, store them in a chest, or simply never pick them up.
3. Select the bow in your hotbar and hold right-click to draw.
4. Release to fire. The bow shoots a normal arrow entity as usual, and no arrow item is consumed or required.
Things to Check If It Does Not Work
- Confirm the mod is actually loaded for your Minecraft version and mod loader (Fabric, Forge, or NeoForge).
- Make sure the bow genuinely has the Infinity enchantment — check the item tooltip.
- If you are on an older Minecraft version, remember that Infinity on a bow still behaves normally in every other respect; only the arrow requirement is removed.
Once it works, you can permanently free up the inventory slot you used to reserve for that one arrow.
