Bounty Craft Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I start a bounty?
Right-click any villager to open their trade menu, then click the bounties button to see available daily contracts. Select a quest to accept it—you can hold up to four active bounties at once.
What's the difference between monster hunts and exploration tasks?
Monster hunts ask you to kill a specific enemy type (including giant boss versions), while exploration tasks send you to find and reach particular structures like Pillager Outposts or Ocean Monuments.
How does the bounty compass work?
Open your tracker menu (default J key), select an active bounty, and the compass will activate to point you toward your target and display the distance. It works across all dimensions including the Nether.
Do I lose my bounty progress if I die?
No, your quest progress is saved even if you die during a bounty, so you can respawn and continue hunting without losing credit for kills already made.
What counts as a kill for bounty credit?
The mod counts indirect kills, so you get credit if your target dies from fall damage, fire, drowning, or other environmental damage—you don't have to deal the final blow yourself.
Can I abandon a bounty I don't want to finish?
Yes, open your tracker menu and select the bounty you want to drop, then choose to abandon it. This frees up one of your four bounty slots for a new quest.
Do bounties reset every day?
Yes, villagers offer new daily contracts, so you can accept fresh bounties each day for ongoing emeralds and loot rewards.
What kind of rewards do bounties give?
Completed bounties reward you with emeralds, standard items, and rare enchanted books depending on the difficulty and type of quest.
Can I do bounties in the Nether?
Yes, the mod fully supports Nether bounties, so you can accept monster hunts and exploration tasks in the lava wastes and other Nether biomes.
Do boss mobs have special mechanics I should know about?
Boss mobs are giant, tougher versions of normal enemies with double health that spawn at specific locations, making them more challenging hunts than standard bounties.
