Adjust Shader Settings for Your PC's Performance
Access the Shader Menu
Press the Shader Settings key (default: O) while in-game to open the configuration panel. This menu lets you fine-tune visual quality without restarting Minecraft.
Choose Your Hardware Preset
The mod includes three presets optimized for different systems:
- Potato: Minimal lighting effects; use this if you're on an older laptop or integrated graphics
- Low: Balanced visuals with reduced shadow detail; good for mid-range GPUs
- Medium: Full feature set including soft shadows and reflections; for modern hardware
Select your preset from the main shader options. Your frame rate should stabilize within seconds.
Fine-Tune Individual Settings
If you want more control, adjust sliders for:
- Shadow softness and distance
- Reflection intensity on water
- Sky brightness
- Overall lighting intensity
Make small changes and observe the impact on your FPS counter. If performance drops, reduce shadow distance or reflection quality first—these affect frame rate most noticeably.
