Improve FPS Further with Sodium Settings

Access Sodium Options

Sodium is the core performance mod in this pack. To fine-tune it for your system:

1. Launch the game and enter a world or server

2. Press Esc to open the pause menu

3. Select Options → Video Settings

4. Look for the Sodium Options button

5. Click to open the Sodium configuration screen

Adjust Performance vs Quality

Sodium's main settings let you balance visuals and FPS:

• Chunk rendering: Lower settings reduce draw distance quality but boost FPS significantly
• Particle rendering: Disable or reduce for crowded areas
• Fog distance: Shorter fog = faster rendering
• Smooth lighting: Toggle off if FPS is critical
• Biome colors: Disable for minor performance gains

Start by lowering chunk rendering quality first—it has the biggest FPS impact. Test each change by checking your FPS counter (F3 key). Once you find your balance, these settings persist across sessions.
