Fixing it when the scroll wheel does not turn book pages

If you roll the wheel and nothing happens in a book, work through these checks.

Quick checks

1. Is a book screen actually open? Scrolling only turns pages inside the book interface. Right-click the book in your hand to open it.

2. Does your mouse wheel work elsewhere? Scroll in the hotbar or in a menu list. If it does nothing there either, the problem is your mouse or system, not the mod.

3. Try scrolling more firmly. Very small or smooth-scroll inputs, such as some trackpads, may not register as clear wheel steps. Use a distinct notch-by-notch motion.

4. Check the mod is loaded. Look in the mods list on the main menu and confirm Book Scroll Mod appears.

Still stuck?

• Another mod that changes book screens or handles scroll input may interfere. Try removing recently added mods one at a time to find the conflict.
• Use the arrow buttons at the bottom of the book as a fallback while you troubleshoot.
• Restart the game after making changes so the mod list reloads cleanly.
