How to Shear a Bogged for Mushrooms

Bogged carry mushrooms on their bodies, and you can shear them for those mushrooms. With the mod, you can do this away from swamps.

What you need

• A pair of shears.
• A way to deal with its arrows, such as a shield or a barrier, since a living bogged will shoot you.

Steps

1. Find a bogged. Remember only about one in ten skeleton spawns will be one.

2. Get close while staying behind cover, or use a shield to approach.

3. Use the shears on it. It drops mushrooms instead of dying.

4. Back away or finish it off. A sheared bogged is still hostile and will keep shooting.

Tips

• Shear before you kill it. A dead bogged gives only its normal drops, not the mushrooms.
• If you want to keep one around, trap it in a closed, shaded space. Sunlight will burn it, so cover the area.
• Keep milk with you in case a stray poison arrow hits you.
