Update the map after building or force a re-render

How updates normally work

BlueMap watches for chunk changes and re-renders them automatically. Updates only show up once the game has saved those chunks.

Commands for manual control

Run these in chat (you need operator rights) or in the server console:

  • /bluemap shows the current status and running render tasks.
  • /bluemap render <map> queues a render of that map. You can add coordinates and a radius to refresh just the area around a spot, which is much faster than redoing everything.
  • /bluemap pause and /bluemap resume stop and restart rendering, which helps if rendering is slowing the server during busy hours.
  • /bluemap purge <map> deletes the stored render data for a map so it is rebuilt from scratch. Use it when the map looks corrupted or you have changed settings that affect how every block is drawn.
  • /bluemap reload re-reads the config files without a full restart.

Tips

After editing a map's .conf file, reload first. Settings that change the look of existing tiles, such as height limits, may need a purge or re-render before the old tiles are replaced.
