Blossom Homes Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I set my first home?
Stand at the location where you want your home to be, then type /home set in chat. If you don't give it a name, it will be saved as your default home. You'll see a confirmation message when it's set.
What's the difference between /home and /home go?
/home teleports you to your default home (the one set in the config), while /home go lets you teleport to a specific named home. Both commands respect the standStill and cooldown settings.
Why can't I teleport immediately after setting a home?
The mod has a standStill setting that requires you to stand still for a certain number of seconds before the teleport activates. Make sure you're not moving during this time, or the timer will reset.
Can I set homes in the Nether or End?
By default, yes—but your server admin can use the dimensionBlacklist setting to block home-setting in specific dimensions like the End. Check with your server's configuration or try setting a home there to see if it's allowed.
How many homes can I have?
The number of homes you can set depends on your server's startHomes setting in the config. Ask your server admin what the limit is, or try setting multiple homes to find out.
What happens if I die after teleporting?
Your home location stays saved and won't change. You'll respawn at your spawn point (or default home if fallbackToPlayerSpawnPoint is enabled), and you can teleport back to your home once the cooldown expires.
Can I delete or rename a home?
Use /home delete to remove a home you no longer need. To rename a home, set a new one with the new name and delete the old one.
Why does /home keep sending me to the wrong location?
Make sure you're using the correct home name with /home go . If you're using /home without a name, it's trying to go to your defaultHome—check the config to see which home is set as default, or specify the exact home name you want.
Do I have to wait between teleports?
Yes, there's a cooldown setting that forces you to wait a certain number of seconds after each teleport before you can teleport again. This prevents spam and is set by your server admin.
Can admins see or remove player homes?
That depends on the mod's permission system and whether your server has admin commands enabled. Check with your server admin about what management tools are available to them.
