Adjust Blood Puddle Duration and Cleanup Speed
Understanding Puddle Mechanics
Blood N' Particles creates temporary marks on the ground that automatically fade away. The duration and fade speed affect how long your battlefield remains marked and how quickly the world self-cleans during extended combat.
Locating Duration Settings
Open your data pack files and find the configuration that controls particle and puddle timing. This is typically in JSON files within the datapacks/ folder of your world. Look for values related to tick duration or fade time.
Making Adjustments
Increase duration values to make puddles last longer, creating a more dramatic battle scene. Decrease them for faster cleanup that keeps your world cleaner during fights. The larger puddles created by heavy damage may have separate settings from smaller splashes.
Applying Changes
Save your edits and use /reload to refresh the data pack. Test by taking damage or hitting mobs to see if puddles now persist longer or disappear faster than before.
