Prevent Specific Mobs from Spawning Particles

Using the Entity Blacklist

Some mobs may produce particles you don't want to see. The entity blacklist lets you exclude specific mob types from generating any particle effects.

How to Blacklist Mobs

1. Open the Blood Bits Mod configuration

2. Find the Entity blacklist section

3. Add the mob names you want to exclude (use their Minecraft registry names)

4. Save your changes

Common Reasons to Blacklist

  • Performance: Exclude mobs that spawn frequently in your farm or base
  • Visual preference: Remove particles from mobs you find distracting
  • Mod compatibility: Prevent conflicts with other particle-heavy mods
  • Immersion: Disable effects for certain mob types that don't fit your playstyle

Finding Mob Names

Mob registry names typically follow the format modname:mobname for modded creatures, or just the mob name for vanilla mobs. Consult your mod's documentation or use creative mode to identify exact names if unsure.
