Blood Bits Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need to do anything to start seeing blood particles?
No setup required—blood particles appear automatically when you attack any mob. Just equip a weapon and hit an enemy to see the effect.
Why am I seeing sparks instead of blood on some mobs?
Mobs wearing armor produce sparks rather than blood particles when hit. This is intentional and helps distinguish armored enemies from unarmored ones.
How do I turn off the blood splatters on my screen?
Open the mod's configuration menu and disable the Screen effects option. You can also toggle low health effects separately if only that visual bothers you.
Can I make more particles appear when I deal damage?
Yes, adjust the Particle control setting in the configuration to increase spawn rate and lower the damage threshold needed to trigger particles.
Why do different mobs have different colored particles?
The mod uses particle colors to help you identify mob types: normal mobs drop red blood, Nether mobs drop fiery colors, and End mobs drop purple particles.
Can I stop specific mobs from creating particles?
Yes, use the Entity blacklist option in the configuration to select individual mob types that will never spawn particles when hit.
Does this mod affect my performance or FPS?
Particle effects can impact performance on lower-end systems. If you experience lag, reduce the Particle control setting or disable death particles in the configuration.
Will the custom combat sounds play if I have other sound mods?
The mod's sounds should coexist with other audio mods, but you can disable Blood Bits Mod's custom sounds in the Sound effects configuration if there are conflicts.
Do the particle effects work with all weapons?
Yes, any weapon that deals damage will trigger particles. Stronger attacks produce more particles based on the damage dealt.
Can I see particles when I hit players in multiplayer?
The mod is designed for mob combat and creates particles when you damage mobs; behavior with player-versus-player damage depends on your server configuration.
