Blockstream Sculptor Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I export my first block?
Open the mod's export menu, select a block from your world or inventory, choose your export settings (texture atlas size, output folder), and click Export. The block will be saved as a glTF file that you can open in Blender or any glTF-compatible 3D editor.
Why do my grass and leaves look wrong after exporting?
Make sure biome color tinting is enabled in your export settings—this preserves the green tints for vegetation and the blue tints for water based on your current biome. If colors still look off, check that your resource pack is loaded and active before exporting.
Can I export blocks from mods I have installed?
Yes, the mod automatically detects and exports modded blocks with their custom models and textures intact. Just make sure the mod is loaded when you run the export.
What's the difference between single texture and UDIM atlas export?
Single texture mode exports each block with its own separate texture files, while UDIM atlas packs all textures into one large image (up to 8192×8192) for faster rendering in Blender. Use atlas mode for better performance when exporting many blocks at once.
How do I export and animate entities in Blender?
Export your entity using the mod's entity export option, then open the glTF file in Blender where the skeletal rig and animation data will be preserved. You can then keyframe additional animations or modify existing ones.
Will animated textures (like lava or water) export correctly?
Yes, the mod preserves animated texture frame data in the glTF export. In Blender, you'll need to set up material nodes to cycle through the frames, or use the animation data the exporter includes.
My export is taking forever—how do I speed it up?
Reduce the texture atlas size in export settings (smaller atlases process faster), lower the export thread count if your system is bottlenecked, or export fewer blocks at once. Exporting to an SSD instead of HDD also helps.
Do connected textures (like grass sides) work in the export?
Yes, connected texture data is processed during export and baked into the model geometry and UVs so the connections display correctly in your 3D editor.
Can I export blocks with PBR materials (roughness, metallic)?
Yes, the mod supports PBR material export. These material properties will be included in the glTF file and can be viewed and adjusted in Blender's Shader Editor.
What should I do if a modded block exports as a missing texture placeholder?
Check that the mod's resource pack or texture files are properly loaded in your Minecraft instance, then try exporting again. If the issue persists, the mod may not have proper texture definitions for that block.
