How to smelt sand into glass in a blast furnace

With the mod installed, a blast furnace accepts sand as an input and turns it into glass blocks. It works faster than a regular furnace.

Steps

1. Place a blast furnace and right-click it to open its menu.

2. Put sand in the top input slot.

3. Put a fuel in the bottom slot. Coal, charcoal and wood items all work, as in a normal furnace.

4. Glass appears in the output slot on the right.

5. Shift-click the glass or drag it into your inventory.

Tips

• Blast furnaces cook faster than regular furnaces, so each piece of fuel gets you more glass than it would in a normal furnace.
• Stack the sand in the input slot and leave it running. You don't need to feed it one block at a time.
• Only the blast furnace gets this ability from the mod. Smokers are for food and are not affected.
• If you are mass-producing glass, run several blast furnaces side by side and fill them all before you start another task.
