How to craft a blast furnace so you can make glass faster

The mod doesn't change how you obtain a blast furnace. You craft it the vanilla way and then use it for glass.

Crafting the blast furnace

Open a crafting table and arrange:

• Top row: 3 iron ingots
• Middle row: iron ingot, furnace, iron ingot
• Bottom row: 3 smooth stone

That is 5 iron ingots, 1 furnace and 3 smooth stone in total.

Getting the parts

• Furnace: 8 cobblestone in a ring in the crafting grid.
• Smooth stone: smelt regular stone blocks in a furnace. Stone comes from mining cobblestone with a pickaxe and then smelting it, or from a Silk Touch pickaxe.
• Iron ingots: smelt raw iron or iron ore.

Using it for glass

Once it's placed, put sand in the top slot and fuel in the bottom slot. Glass comes out of the right slot. You no longer need a regular furnace for this job, and you save time and fuel on large batches.
